Physics and Science Days: May 19 & 20, 2010

During Silverwood’s 15th Annual Physics and Science Days, we turn our theme park into one of the world’s most unique classrooms.

We’ve created an event where students can test the principles of physics and science for themselves using rides, games, and other attractions. They’ll participate in educational competitions like the Amazing Egg Drop or the Coaster Building Contest, watch science-themed Discovery Channel movies, learn about the Aquifer at the DEQ Educational booth or at the new KSPS Public Television booth, and a whole lot more.

Each participating class receives a curriculum to use that includes instructions for contests and an engineering and construction skills test. Trophies and ribbons are awarded to the top 3 schools. The best overall school will win $100 in cash. Book your trip now and give your students a day they’ll never forget.

We’ve cooked up a lunch special just for students

For a discounted price of just $5.69 per person, kids and teachers can receive Tender pulled BBQ pork, buns, hot dogs, potato chips, macaroni and cheese, ice cream cup and assorted Pepsi beverages.(School meals are single serving and available during the months of May, June, and September).

For an additional $1.99 per person, your group can enjoy bottomless drinks all day long. (You must book the meal to qualify for the $1.99 Pepsi deal. 2 week advance reservation required. Offer valid may, June, and September only.)

Wanna perform?

Why not give your school group the chance to perform at in front of a live audience at Silverwood? If your group of 15 or more plays music or performs for at least 30 minutes, you’ll save over 50% off of the regular admission price. (Performers and their families and friends are eligible for the discounted price!)

Bring your band, orchestra, cheerleaders, choir, pep club, dance troupe, or drill team. Display your talents here at Silverwood and get additional discounts. Just let us know you want to perform when you book your outing.
